We believe that music and the arts feed our humanity. As teachers, we empower our students not only to build strong fundamentals, but to explore their creativity and connect with the rich history behind the music they study.

As working performers, composers, arrangers, and producers, we bring lived experience into every lesson. We understand the full arc of music-making—from the first idea to the final performance or recording—and we guide our students keeping that broader perspective in mind.

Programs

  • Private Lessons

    We specialize in cello, viol, clarinet, composition & music theory lessons, as well as foundational piano & voice lessons.

  • Group Experiences

    We offer cello choir, viol consort, clarinet choir, guitar ensemble, alexander technique, and musicianship class.

  • Adult Learners

    Some of our adult students are professionals wanting to explore new instruments, or combat memory loss, and others, simply want to learn what they previously could not. All are welcome.

  • Emerging Professionals

    At Cello-Sanct, we can help you with audition preparation and music theory placement tests (all levels). We also mentor young private lesson teachers and help them feel supported while they develop their teaching skils.

  • Workshops

    Our summer workshop - Cello-Sanct: The Workshop will be back this summer for its 10th season.
