All instruments are evaluated individually, as setup, condition, and structural needs can vary significantly. The pricing below is intended as a general guide to help set expectations. Pricing varies depending on instrument type (violin, viola, cello, viols etc.) and condition.

Final quotes are always provided after in-person evaluation.

  • Comprehensive Setup Adjustment - $90-$200

Routine setup and adjustments typically range from $60 - $200 depending on the instrument and scope of work.

Repairs & Structural Work

  • Crack Repairs - $100-$500+
  • Edge and Rib Repair - $80-$300+
  • Neck and Fingerboard Work (as needed) - Quoted
  • Button Repair - $100-$250+

Structural repairs range from $80 to $1200+ depending on the severity of the issue.

Restoration & Tonal Refinement

Detailed work to help an instrument return to its best sounding and playable state.

Restoration and tonal work is billed at $80/hour.

Bow Rehair & Repair

  • Bow Cleaning and Conditioning - $40.00
  • Tip Plate Repair or replacement - $80-$180
  • Frog and Button Repair - $90-$200
  • Screw and Eyelet Adjustment - $60-$120
  • Grip and Winding Replacement - $80-$160
  • Performance Evaluation - Complimentary with service.

Bow rehair and repair reservices start at $80.00.

Evaluation & Consultation

All work begins with a careful evaluation of the instrument.

This allows us to assess condition, identify any underlying issues, and recommend the most appropriate course of action.

During this time, we're happy to answer questions and discuss options based on your instrument and goals.

Evaluation: $40-$80
